This course continues Advanced Twi I. The course will place particular attention on the cultural dimensions of the Twi language by examining its myths, folklore, epics, legends, music, religious beliefs, etc. The four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) will continue to be developed throughout the semester. In order to bring students to a near-native competence in these skills, multi-media texts will be used (films, slides, audio-tapes and musical materials). Oral presentations, group discussions and writing assignments dealing with various cultural aspects of the language will be presented in class to develop grammar, vocabulary, oral proficiency and writing skills.
