MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR:

SPECIAL PERMISSION NUMBERS:  Enrollment in all language courses in the Department of AMESALL is capped at 25.  Only in the most extraordinary of circumstances will a student be issued a Special Permission Number. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: beginning in 2009-2010, the SAS deans made it a requirement to take a language placement test, even if your major does not require it and even it you have no plans to study a language. To arrange to take a placement exam in the AMESALL office, please make an appointment with Michele Frishberg at 848-445-0275.
